Gauhati ,7th January 2020 :
Sangeet Pradip, a classical and semi classical
musical show was held at Gauhati Town Club on January 5th 2020.
This classical music evening was held for the first
time in collaboration with cultural programmes Sangeet Jeuti and Swardip.
Anjana Sharma Boruah, the Chief General Manager of Guwahati Refinery lit the foundation of the event hosted by Nayan Prasad.

Eminent educationalist Dr. Anjanjyoti Choudhury and eminent artist Monisha Hazarika felicitated them respectively.

Joyprakash Medhi,a well renowned name in the music circle of North east
region.
He is a brilliant music thinker,performer,composer and an ideal teacher of
Indian Classical Music.
He has established himself as a prolific Music Composer and Music Director,
who has created, number of musical compositions, which were performed by
reputed dancers of India is several Music and dance festivals around the world.
He did Sangeet Nippon in vocal Music from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapith under
the guidance of his Guru Damodor Bora.
Later on,he become disciple of renowned guru Late Pandit Samresh Choudhury
of Kolkata.He has been an approved artist of All India Radio,Guwahati and
Doordarshan since 1989.He received the title of "Sangeet Mukuta" in
NEBCUS MEDIA AWARD 2012-13.Assam Sahitya Sabha felicitated him in centenary
session,2017 held at Sibasagar for his contribution to the field of Music.
Shri Medhi has participated in various prestigious national &
international music festival and highly appreciated by the audience and viewers

Pankaj Sarma :
A well renowned Santoor Player of Assam,
Pankaj Sarma born in 1969 at Barkulhati (Borbhag) of Nalbari district. He completed his degree from Gauhati Commerce College in 1984 .
Pankaj Sarma is a disciple of Pt.Shiv Kumar Sarma.
An approved artist of Santoor,Harmonium,Light Classical Vocal and also a Composer of All India Radio, Guwahati. Pankaj Sarma was awarded 'Sangeet Prabha' by NEFSED and received Prabha' by NEFSED and received “Best Music Director” Award for Doordarshan Kendra T.V Serial 'Hothat Edin'. He started an academy goes by the name of ' S.K.S.Santoor Academy ' Guwahati , Assam.
Kritanjali Goswami,daughter of Shri Kanak Goswami and Smt Rita Goswami of Guwahati has learnt Hindustani Classical Music (Vocal) from Gurus Shri Jeeten Basumatary,Smt.Gayatri Bhattacharya and Smt.Ajanta Saikia and had passed her M-Muse in Hindustani Classical Vocal from Prachin Kala Kendra ,Chandigarh.
She has been an approved artist in Hindustani classical Vocal and Bhajan from All India Radio, Guwahati.
She was awarded the 'Best Singer' in Guwahati University and also awarded the 'Best Singer' title by Handique Girl's College and Pragjyotish College in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
She also received the C.C.R.T. Scholarship in 2004.
She has performed Borgeet and Hindustani Classical
Vocal under the banner of Sangeet Natak Akdemi and has performed at various
prestigious Music festivals and concerts across India.
Nilakshi Bora :
Nilakshi
Bora,a young vocal artist from Lakhibarigaon,Jorhat.Currently
studying M.A 3rd semester, at Indira Kala Sangeet University, Chhattisgarh
had completed her Visharad Vocal from Akhil Bharatiya Gandhrwa , Mahavidyalaya,Mumbai
and also did her Visharad in Borgeet from Sankari Sangeet Vidyapath
.
She is an
approved artist of both Borgeet and Modern Song in All India Radio, Dibrugarh.
She had joined in various singing category competitions held all over Assam.
